These projects used Photoshop to combine elements of different photographs together.
Wu Tang: An American Saga is a Hulu Original that I did graphics on. An American Saga is about the Wu Tang Clan and their quest for fame in the 90’s. These are a few of the many graphics I made on this show.
“Mi America” is a feature film that I was hired on as a graphic designer to create background and prop graphics. While working on this film, I was asked to create specific items and went back and forth with the production designer to ensure it was what they envisioned for the film. I created beer labels, cigarette packaging, multiple newspaper designs, missing persons signs, political campaign signs, and police department logos that were used in production.
These projects show signage created for different fictional businesses including a bodega awning, a dentistry, medical center, and a pharmacy.
I designed logos and vehicle wraps for a few fictional public services. This includes a hospital logo, ID badges, and ambulance vehicle wrap. This also includes a police department logo and police car vehicle wrap as well as a taxi cab company logo and vehicle wrap.
This project shows a front and back cover of the short story, Memoirs of a Muse. After reading the story, I was asked to create a new cover using details and events from the story to inspire the cover. Memoirs of a Muse is a short story about a girl who was reading several stories by one author and fell in love with him through his work. I included the locket with the authors face in it, as it was a symbol of her obsession and love for the author. She kept reading the books by the author several times and this was represented in the cover with the ripped page, as pages get ripped in a book when being read over and over again.
This project shows a magazine cover, table of contents, and 2 two-page spreads for a mock Architecture magazine, Architech. The content was chosen to highlight the architecture of Trinity Church in Boston, Massachusetts. The designs used in the layout were inspired by the architectural elements.
In this project, I was asked to make an album cover for a young solo piano player and singer, Matteo Scher. He wrote the album and provided his own painting for the cover, his rendition of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. While writing the album, his music was inspired by the painting. I had used this painting to create a theme within the album cover by incorporating the paint splatters, the canvas, and colors from the painting throughout design. I used different typography skills to design the text needed for the front and back of the album.
